Carmen, voulez-vous venir avec moi? No? Then good-bye to you too, Princess of Chaos. It might have been fun.

Corwin's valedictory to Dara, The Courts of Chaos, Roger Zelazny; the quote is French, "Carmen, will you come with me?" and alludes to Nabokov's Lolita (suggested by Corwin's mixed feelings about Dara's apparent age while she is seducing him); in Lolita, the line is itself a quote from Bizet's Carmen and the novella by Mérimée upon which that is based. This is a fairly impressive pedigree for a literary reference to have, if you ask me.
